研究專長: 行為與演化生態學、群聚生態學、生物多樣性及保育生態學


研究方向
:

 本研究室 (Behavioral and Evolutionary Ecology Laboratory) 簡稱BEE Lab,但可不是飼養蜜蜂或從事蜂蜜相關產業! 我們的研究興趣在廣義的演化生態學,著重於種間及物種內之個體差異,如行為、生活史、形態、生理、發育狀態、或親緣等,在演化機制及不同生態過程 (如競爭、捕食、寄生、或互利等) 下,與其所屬族群之動態關係和所屬群聚之組成與結構的相互影響。 取材之研究對象,多以陸域脊椎動物與昆蟲為主。

   幾個研究主軸包括(1) 在行為、知覺、及演化生態方面,我們目前針對翼手目 (蝙蝠) 與鳥類之生態及行為與其形態功能上之關聯,並探討蟲食及植食性脊椎動物在資源取得、使用模式、其與獵物及天敵間之互動;(2) 建立行為生態與群聚生態之介面,分析影響動物群聚組成、結構、與相對豐度之生態過程及其相對重要性,並探討跨階層種間交互作用 (例如食蟲性動物–昆蟲–植物、植食動物–植物) 對群聚組成及食物網結構與穩定性的影響;以及 (3) 從基礎研究出發,探討其與生物多樣性與保育生態學 (Conservation ecology) 研究之結合,包括都會環境 (Urban ecology)、農業環境與農業資源 (Agro-ecology)、及復原生態學 (Restoration ecology),及在環境變遷議題上之應用。

   

目前從事研究

1.森林翼手目之群聚結構、其空間、棲地、與資源利用模式、及覓食行為與獵物禦敵行為之關係。

2.熱帶森林鳥類群聚組成;其多樣性與海拔梯度、林相組成、及林下植被之關係;影響其晨鳴時序

  與鳴唱模式之機制;對棲地與巢位之選擇;資源利用模式;及食果性鳥類與植物分佈及其生活史
  策略的散佈式演化。

3.環境背景顏色、異質性、及群集與鳥類個體覓食及社會性覓食行為的關係。

4.熱帶森林兩生類及蜥蝪與壁虎之群聚生態。

5.雉尾水雉覓食表現與頸斑大小及羽色的關係及對繁殖成功的影響。
